I don’t just “live in Paulding County”- I am a citizen of Paulding County – intimately involved in and part of the Paulding Community.

  • 1980 – We built our home in Hiram, and enrolled our son in Hiram School (John Pezold, Principal)
  • 1981 – Opened my law office in Strip 92 at Highway 92 and Nebo Road
  • 1982 – President, Paulding County Bar Association
  • 1983 – Bought 4.25 acres on Highway 278
  • 1983-84 – Built a 4,000-square-foot office building (first in Paulding County?) Hiram Office and Professional Center – medical offices, CPA, realtor, and my law offices
  • 1984 – Appointed Magistrate Judge, Paulding County (by H. F. Henderson, Jr., Chief Magistrate)
  • 1984 – Joined Paulding County Chamber of Commerce
  • 1986 – First President, Paulding County Optimist Club
  • 1988-91 – Only U.S.S.F. certified Soccer Referee in Paulding County (opening days were brutal!)
  • 1992 – Leadership Paulding Graduate (Chamber of Commerce Program)
  • 1995-96 – Host Family, Youth for Understanding Exchange Student Program; Ulf Reuker from Dortmund, Germany enrolled at Paulding High School (Don Rauscher, Principal)
  • 1996 – Chairman, Foothills Conference, ELCA Southeastern Synod (14 churches in North Ga.)
  • 1996-98 – Mentor, Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism, for law school students
  • 2000 – Organizer and Charter Member, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Hiram
  • 2001 – Appointed to State Bar of Georgia’s Professionalism Committee
  • 2001 – Volunteered as local on-call attorney for Police Benevolent Association members in Paulding and Douglas Counties needing legal representation for job-related incidents
  • 2002 – First President, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Hiram; choir member, Assisting Minister, Adult Sunday School teacher (2002 – 2006)
  • 2002 – Delegate, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Southeastern Synod Assembly (fifth time)
  • 2002 – Mentor, Georgia National Guard Youth Challenge Program (HQ at Ft. Stewart, Georgia)
  • 2002 – Nominated for Judge, Superior Court, by Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission
  • 2006–2010 Chairman of State Bar of Georgia Professionalism Committee
  • 2006 - Named Fellow, Lawyers Foundation of Georgia
