RE-ELECT DICK DONOVAN DISTRICT ATTORNEY
REPUBLICAN PRIMARY 2014
NOW WE KNOW EXPERIENCE COUNTS.
Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney Dick Donovan took office in January, 2011 with two goals in mind: first, make the Paulding District Attorney office user friendly for lawyers, other courthouse personnel, all law enforcement and especially the public. Second, and certainly not less important, reduce the lag time for bringing cases to trial and cut the overall caseloads for the three Superior Court judges in Paulding County. The first goal was met nearly immediately and the second, although it was a more daunting task, within his first year as District Attorney.
The Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney office has added one Assistant District Attorney, one Investigator and one Victim-Witness Advocate since Dick took office.
Although the elected District Attorney is a Constitutional Officer, this office is one of the most important positions for which Paulding County residents vote every four years. The District Attorney must be a dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced lawyer with organization skills and courtroom savvy and a solid working knowledge of criminal and civil law and its varied applications. Dick brought all those skills to the office and put his management expertise to work for the people of Paulding County.
Dick Donovan now has thirty-four years experience in criminal law in addition to his many years in law enforcement as a uniform police officer and a detective, and is known for his proficiency and ability in and out of the courtroom.
