REPUBLICAN RUN OFF AUGUST 10, 2010
BECAUSE EXPERIENCE COUNTS!

The office of District Attorney is one of the most important local offices for which you will vote in the coming elections in 2010. The District Attorney must be a dedicated, knowledgeable and experienced lawyer with management skills and courtroom savvy and a working knowledge of criminal law and its application.

Dick Donovan is the only candidate in this race who has thirty years of experience in criminal law as an attorney, in addition to his many years in law enforcement as a uniform police officer and a detective. Dick is known for his proficiency and ability in and out of the courtroom. Dick was a crime scene technician for the Atlanta Police Department, and then as an East Point Police Officer and Detective he was schooled in death investigation at the National Death Investigation Seminars in 1974 and 1975, and then completed specialized training by the F.B.I. in sex crimes investigation. He was one of the first licensed Intoximeter operators in the State of Georgia (the machine which quantifies blood alcohol by breath sample). He’s made arrests and prosecuted cases, among other crimes, for murder, rape, robbery, child molestation, family violence, and many, many cases for DUI. He will come to the District Attorney’s position with a wealth of knowledge which others seeking the position just don’t have.
